As part of ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity in Punggol, major construction works for the Cross Island Line-Punggol Extension (CPe) are progressing steadily. In light of this, Waterway Point has announced a temporary relocation of its taxi stand and pick-up/drop-off point starting 9 June 2025.

📍 What’s Changing?

To facilitate the construction of the Cross Island Line (CRL) at Punggol Interchange, the existing taxi stand and passenger pick-up/drop-off point at Waterway Point will be moved to a new temporary location nearby. This change is necessary to ensure smooth construction progress and public safety throughout the works period.

Directional signages will be put up around Waterway Point to guide visitors, taxi drivers, and private-hire vehicle users to the relocated point.


🚆 About the Cross Island Line – Punggol Extension

The Cross Island Line (CRL) is one of Singapore’s most ambitious MRT expansions, aiming to connect major residential and commercial hubs across the island, including Jurong Lake District, Changi, and Punggol Digital District. Once completed, this line will significantly reduce travel time and offer greater route alternatives to commuters living in the North-East.

The Punggol Extension of the CRL will include a new interchange station at Punggol, enhancing connectivity for residents and supporting future growth in the area.
